Our SDGs

Goal 3. Good Health and Well-Being

3.7

Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health services

3.8

Universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, quality essential health services, and access to essential drugs and vaccines that are safe, effective and affordable for all

After the discovery of chemicals in disposable sanitary napkins, various alternative products have been released, but many women still use disposable sanitary napkins because they are 'inconvenient to use'.

Chemicals can cause various side effects such as itching, pain, and allergies, and if worn for a long time, inflammation through bacterial infection may occur.

nuee's menstrual panties are arylamine, formaldehyde, and allergen dye free.
It has passed the KOTITI safety test, so it can be worn healthy.

Women in refugee camps and slums are suffering from the economic burden of the cost of disposable sanitary pads, replacing them with discarded scraps of cloth or dried leaves.

Therefore, we will try to reduce the burden of disposable sanitary products by one-third and triple the number of beneficiaries of government subsidies by providing reusable menstrual panties for three years.

Goal 5. Gender Equality

5.6

Ensure universal access to sexual, reproductive health and regenerative rights for all in accordance with the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Action Plan and the Beijing Code of Action and the results of the Review Conference

Goal 8. Decent Work And Economic Growth

8.5

By 2030, achieve full employment of all men and women, including young people with disabilities: equal pay for work of equal value

Worldwide, approximately 100 million teenage girls live below the absolute poverty line¹.

They have not received proper sex education and are experiencing menstruation without knowing what menstruation is.

In some areas, girls are even locked up in spaces called menstrual huts during menstruation, forcing them to isolate them from homes and schools.

Safer menstruation, accurate menstruation knowledge education

We are donating menstrual pants and menarche education materials to refugee camps and slums in Uganda, Kenya, and Vietnam to support suffering girls.

We will continue to support and help them avoid discrimination and suffering simply because they were born in a poor environment.

Decent work, better health

Female firefighters / police officers / military personnel / medical staff wearing dustproof clothes are difficult to replace disposable sanitary products due to the nature of their jobs, so they often end up with a single sanitary pad all day.

Starting with the Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters in 2020, we will donate nuee panties so that women working in various special situation occupational groups can focus on their work.

Gender equality, further equal human rights

We do not discriminate in employment, wages, promotions, etc. for any reason, such as gender, age, race, or religion, and we are creating an environment in which all employees can respect human rights and receive fair treatment.

In addition, female employees are actively working to develop products with the will to make a better daily life for women.

Goal 12. Responsible Consumption And Production

12.4

By 2020, in accordance with an agreed international framework, to achieve environmentally friendly management of chemicals and all wastes throughout their lifecycle, and to minimize their negative impact on human health and the environment, discharge into air, water and soil greatly reduced

12.5

Reduce waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse by 2030

Goal 13. Climate Action

13.3

Climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, education on early warning, awareness raising, and population and institutional capacity improvement

Goal 14. Life Below Water

14.1

Prevent and reduce all forms of marine pollution, including marine waste and nutrient pollution by 2025

About 2 billion disposable sanitary napkins are thrown away annually, and the amount of disposable sanitary napkins that a single woman emits in her lifetime is 177.6kg and 196.1kg of carbon dioxide.

Disposable sanitary napkins are not biodegradable in landfill because 90% of them are plastic, which causes marine and soil pollution problems at a very serious level.

nuee's goal

By manufacturing products that can be reused for 3 years, we reduced the number of disposable sanitary napkins from 17,760 to 60 sanitary napkins,
thereby reducing 14.4 tons of waste and 15.9 tons of carbon per year.

In addition, we are minimizing plastics by developing products using eco-friendly materials and absorption and permeation technology that does not use chemicals.

nuee sanitary panties are 75% biodegradable when landfilled.
